just to let everyone know (i have seen similar posts on the iva forum) - i received a letter today from a company based in manchester that they could have my bankruptcy annulled (on a no win no fee basis!) the fee they do charge if they win it is £5350 + vat!!! needless to say i will be binning the letter as they have obviously got my details from the IS register!

oh and they can arrange a short term loan through private funding whilst the annulment proces takes place!!

leeches!!! lol

Thanks for that Paul - these companies should be banned shouldn't they?

I'd like to know where they think you will get this money from to pay them! You certainly won't be able to afford any loan repayments!

Hi,
it wouldn't be the Bankruptcy Protection Fund by any chance?

The BPF(bankruptcy protection fund) are a very expensive way of getting an annulment, as you mentioned, they charge ate least £5k for doing it. They stump up the money for the annulment, but the debtor has to sign an agreement, that they will obtain a secured loan on the property post bankruptcy, to pay themn back.

hi again big al

just checked agin the letter - if your debts are higher than £35k, the £5k fee then becomes a "bespoke" fee!!!
