Chris received a letter 12 months ago. The letter stated that he owed £20,0000 to a company called Egg. Chris advised that he had no recollection of this debt, he proceeded to write to the company to ask for further information and proof of this debt. Chris received, 1 year later a statement referring to the debt in question. He did not get any proof of what he had asked for. Chris would like to know what are his legal rights in regards to the debt that he does not know anything about.
