Yes. If you are declared bankrupt your details will be added to the insolvency register. This register is a public document and is easily accessible through the internet. If someone goes to the register and searches on your name they will find out that you are bankrupt.
Your record stays on the insolvency register until you are discharged from your bankruptcy - normally 12 months. After that you are no longer listed. However someone can still find out whether you have been bankrupt in the past by searching the London Gazette (also available on line) which has a history of everyone who goes bankrupt. However relatively few people know about and use this.
