I have been sent a letter to say the water company are going to cut me off and disconnect my supply. I have paid half or the amount that was due and I explained that I could pay the rest off on Monday. They said that payment cannot stop the action that they are taking. What am I supposed to do in relation to this. Can they actually do this ?
As far as I am aware, as access to water is one of your basic rights, I do not think the water company are allowed to cut you off. If you pay what you owe on Monday I cannont believe that they would go through with it. However the law in this area this is not my expertise. Perhaps another posted can offer further advice.

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.
