Can we get a mobility car for our son even though I have an IVA ? Would having an IVA go against us when applying as we have been instructed to tell them.
Yes you can get one. My husband is in an IVA and we have a motability car. The money is paid out directly by DWP to the car company.
I take it your son is on the higher rate mobility allowance?
We never said anything at all about the IVA, as soon as hubby had his approved we went out and got a car and changed it last year with no worries at all.
You won't be credit checked as you're not the one who is paying for it.
