Hello im new, just got a few questions
I had my hearing yesterday and it all went well, im Bankrupt, im now waiting to hear from the OR about my interview,
i've read a few threads from other people about still getting contacted by their debtors, i was just wondering what to do as i read that the OR wont write to them until after the interview, ive had one of my debts passed onto a collection agency, i phoned them and told them that im bankrupt and they infored me that i need to provide them with:
Bankruptcy number,
the court i attended, i know this
Details of my OR,
Date of hearing. i know this too lol
was i supposed to be given any info after my hearing as i wasnt given any about my OR ( i just had a phonecall in the waiting room informing me that i'll be contacted about my interview ), also i have a Claim number on my receipt of payment is this my Bankruptcy number?
if anyone knows how i can obtain the info i need then it would be gratefully appreciated

Nick,
You should of been given your BR order by the court. Your BR number is towards the top right hand side. |

| ok so i woke up this morning with a envelope containg my Bankruptcy order, nice of them to post it, anyway one of my debtors wants the information of my OR but i dont have one until the interview or do i? im confused.... |

On the bottom of the order it should say that you should contact the OR at ...
You don't need to, it's just where you will find the OR office details.
If you still can't find it, let me know which court it was and I will find out which OR.

Hi Nick - I wouldn't worry about your creditors - your OR will be in touch with them all in the next few weeks - once you are BR then all contact from creditors needs forwarding straight to the OR.
You're nearly there!

oh right so any letters i receive from debtors i forward to my OR is that right? thank you Vicki
also i know my OR interview could be weeks away but is there anything i can do on my end to be better prepaired, like gathering statements etc alot of my various statements were lost in a house move, but i can apply at my banks for them to be resent
what do the OR's tend to ask for? bank statements or all statements like storecards etc

Hi Nick B what I done in the period between the BR order and OR interview was : Years worth of Bank Statements;Credit Card Statements for last Year;All Credit Agreements; and I made a time line of when you got each form of credit.
The time line will help you get a picture in your head,of what lead to your problems. The OR will ask what you spent each form of credit on so if you could think over that your OR interview should be quite smooth.
