hi simon

moonbeaver will either take the money at source or you will pay it after the money has been put onto your wages (July 2011 - March 2012)

the official receiver will apply to have the tax for the rest of the financial year rather than HMRC (march 2012)

at the end of the financial year it is then upto HMRC to obtain the tax from you.

The official receiver will shrug shoulders and say not my problem.

The tax man will chase you and as the debt occurred post BR you will have to pay. Taxation sodes and transfering from NT to your new tax code may have caused a slight bit of confusion

it is prob best to speak to your local tax office, if elements of your bankruptcy involved self employment or HMRC based debts you will have to apply for a new unique tax reference . at leaset if you are approaching them you can agree to pay in installments

Good Luck Richard,

As stated - speak to your tax office and hopefully they can sort it out for you.

I agree with Niobe, speak to your tax office as the sooner you get this sorted out the better. Good luck.

The more I have to do with humans the more I think that the world would be a better place if it was run by animals.

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side.
