Hi With the good advice from this site I am now bankrupt I will get a long BRO due to my gambling . However my wife (Age 70) who has no money connection with me save being married wants to make a will and leave most her property to me .
If I have a BRO say for 10 years does that mean that any money left to me within that time will go to the OR.
Do you mind if i ask about your gambling debts. Its just that i too am just about to go bankrupt some of which is due to gambling debts and i would really like an idea of how they are dealt with in regards to BRO etc.
Sorry if this is a bit personal but have no idea of how long BRO might be or how OR will react to them. Gambling is about a quarter of my overall debt and stands at about £5-6000.
An inheritance will only be captured under the bankruptcy until the time you are discharged. A BRU or BRO survives the discharge, but your inheritance will be saved.
