HELLO EVERYONE
IM GOING TO COURT ON FRIDAY TO GO BANKRUPT. I OPENED A NEW ACCOUNT BACK IN MARCH THIS YEAR TO START AGAIN IT IS WITH NATIONWIDE BUT I KNOW THEY CAN BE FUNNY WITH BANKRUPTCY SO I HAVE OPENED ACCOUNT WITH THE CO-OP WHO WE HAVE TOLD WE ARE GOING BANKRUPT. BUT MY NATIONWIDE ACCOUNT HAS GONE OVER BY £700 DUE TO MY CAR NEEDING MOT AND TAX THIS MONTH AND MY DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY THIS SUNDAY. AND WE HAVE HAD TO PUT MONEY BY FOR THIS BANKRUPTCY CHARGE FOR TWO OF US AS MY HUSBAND IS GOING BANKRUPT WITH ME. SO WHAT WOULD YOU ADVISE I DO ABOUT THIS NATIONWIDE ACCOUNT I CAN'T TAKE THAT THROUGH BANKRUPTCY THAT WOULD BE TAKING THE MICKY. WILL THE OR BE NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS WE DON'T HAVE A OVERDRAFT ON THIS ACCOUNT THE BANK JUST LETS YOU HAVE EVEN IF THERE IS NO MONEY AS I HAVE FOUND OUT.
THANK YOU

Hi Matt and welcome to the forum.

The Nationwide account (if overdrawn) will HAVE to be listed on your SOA and the debt written off in BR. I'm afraid this means another trip down the high street for a new account post-BR (the court date that is, not the discharge!).

Hi Matt,

If the account is overdrawn, you have to put it in. Shouldn't cause any issue though.
