I recieved a message today on my mobile. I work for one of the Virgin Group companies (not Virgin Money or any with a financial connection) and this has scared me because we owe on a Virgin Crdit card. I have not stressed too much as the card corresspondance comes from MBNA, so I dont feel like I am jeopordising my positon in my employment. The call went like this.....

"This is a message for XXXXXXXXX, we need to speak to you urgently regarding a personal matter, can you call Virgin on xxxxxxxx"

Stupidly I pressed delete immediately afterwards (out of habit) and now dont have the number to call back.

I know it wasnt my work calling. The number (a Manchester number) has no connection to my work; and if you work for part of the Virgin Group, you never just say 'Virgin'. You say what Virgin Company you work for as there are so many.

Do you think its from a call centre? That he saw my place of work and is trying to scare me? Or could it be more serious as I didnt think they were allowed to leave messages?

Any ideas? I'm pooing my pants now.

When we have had calls in relation to our Virgin CC's they have always said MBNA International not Virgin - although I am sure it is just regarding your card account. They will ring back.

Try not to worry XX

Hi DM,

It will be the collection department of the card company. Rest assured they'll call again!
