really worried about filling in husbands wages on the BR forms. he lost his job in June and secured employment with his previous employers. His basic monthly income is £1280 but is doing some overtime (which in the past was between £200 - £350 pm) however, this overtime is available because annual hols of other employees and whilst it should be there (and has in the past) it is not guaranteed (got the job because he was good at it not because they had a job going) I have looked at my husbands P60s from when he was working there previously and his average monthly earnings come out at £1550pm and i have put this on the form. Is this the right/sensible thing to do as he would only have had 1 payslip by the time we petition but if he does not reach that wage in future would the OR adjust any payment due under an IPO if he gets one? P.S husband cannot stop doing the overtime as its a bit of an unwritten rule of the company that staff will do it, and he happy he got employment and doesn't want to rock boat with employers)
The OR will look at your husband wage-slips for the last three months and take an average. If these include overtime which is not guaranteed, you must draw this to their attention.

My biggest problem is that if the ip uses the last 3 wage slips, 2 are from his old employment which are much higher than can ever be expected from his new job.
