I know this has nothing to do with BR, but I got asked a question today, did I obey in my wedding vows, I always remembered I asked the vicar to miss it out of the vows, he was shocked and so was my parents!! At the time I didn't feel I needed to obey I know it is traditional. I still don't obey

I thought It was an odd question to ask, has anyone else changed there wedding vows

Take Care

Ann

My OH and I got married 13 years ago and we asked for 'obey' to be taken out, the vicar said he would take it out of my husbands but not mine (sexist) As it turned out, he didn't put it in either, however he also called me a different name when reading vows, lol. He retired shortly after!

We got married 17yrs ago, our vicar married us husband and husband so does that mean I'm not really married!!! his fly on his trousers was also down, I kept wanting to laugh, from what we heard he actually left the church and was admitted to rehab for drink.

Vicars are great, so eccentric and they get away with it. Apparently my husband is married to someone called Sarah. lol
