i am a ex bankrupt and want to rent a house with my boyfriend. will the fact that i am an ex bankrupt stop us? its been 3 years!

Hi
it won't stop you renting but it may restrict your choices.It's up to the individual landlord.

You could choose for your boyfriend to be the sole applicant and try it that way.

hi oo8...

i am thinking of going bankrupt sept/oct and found a rented house tuesday this week just walking down a street with a number in the window..rang and met the landlord explained my situation showed him a payslip and bank sta and i move in next wk..did check with local estate agents tho who gave me no hope whatsoever. so look in local papers, shops etc

i know i dont know what i would have done if i hadnt found this site...never thought a week ago i would be in this position...still got away to go tho and no doubt will need a lot more advice in the next few weeks
