my husband and i are struggling with debt and are considering bankruptcy, but he is self employed as an icecream man and his vehicle is worth £10,000 will this be ordered to be sold and if so how will he conduct work there on?

Hi I am no expert but from what I have been told as he needs htis for his job he would be able to keep it.

Hi KB and welcome to the forum.

The current precedent for vehicles in BR is a maximum value of £2500 before the OR would look to realise the asset. However, in cases such as this, it is not uncommon for the BR to keep the vehicle as long as you can present a strong enough case to the OR. Given the specialised nature of the vehicle you require, I should imagine you'd be ok (but be prepared to stand your ground with the OR).
