I have been advised that my Bank account will not be frozen and I can still use it as my salary goes in this monthly? Is this the case and this is not my understanding.

Hi
if and when you declare bankruptcy you should expect all of your bank accounts to be temporarily frozen once the banks note your bankruptcy in the London Gazette.

You can ask a bank to unfreeze an account which they may do once they have received confirmation from the Official Receiver that he has no further interest in the account.

However, most accounts if not specifically set up for post bankruptcy use will eventually get closed by the banks.
