Hi have you looked at the rough guide that is on my blog to see as i say roughly what the OR may allow.
It looks to me to be ok. May be one of the others could clarify that.
Oh good luck for Thurs.
Lol

Hi soscared,
I think it looks ok too. The only couple of things that stand out is that food, toiletries and household should all be listed together. Also, TV license is £12 per month and as far as I'm aware that's all they'll allow.
Hope that helps.

hi BK C
i missed a pymt on my tv licence when i moved into rented so thats what they said i need to pay until i get my new licence.
so do i just put on the form, food, household and toiletries £180 cos i looked on some previous posts and one of them said £225 for a single person..its just confusing as i know each or looks at each case individually.
just trying to work out what to put down for the total household fixtures and fittings nothing of high value, and it says in the guide you dont need to list them unless they are of particular value what do they call a particular value?

I would do it like that, i put in my food all things like that and listed dit as one.
The TV licence i put £12 per month and seperatley.
The OR looks for things over the £250 mark when looking at value as in they can sell and get the £250 plus. Most household items tend to be way under that. So unless you have a picasso hidden dont worry.
Good luck

Hi again soscared,
We were in the same position with the TV license but were told we could only put down £12. Leave it at £15 though maybe and see what they say-it's only £3! :-)
Yeah, just put £180 under housekeeping (or whatever they call it on the SoA). I think you probably could claim more for this-I saw someone on here had £300 accepted for this-also for one person!!! You could up your clothes too to £50 and your phone to £30 or so.
All this of course would give you a monthly deficit so you may need to show the OR where you can cut back on some things. As John pointed out to me, if you have a deficit, it makes it less likely for you to end up with an IPA if things change for you (your income goes up for example). It wouldn't be good if you didn't claim everything you can now, just to find if your circumstances change, they hold you to your original expenses figures.
Hope that makes sense?!

| You should always put down what you actually spend. |

I was only allowed £185 for food and £10 domestic break although they were quite generous in other areas.
Also the month prescription is £7.10 so unsure where you would be allowed £11. But as BankruptC says they can only say no and if you don't ask you don't get!
You say £70 household help... do you get that paid back to you?

i recieve dla as i have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands fingers and feet, so i cannot chop peel veg, need help with cleaning windows ironing etc as i cannot always manage these things. i was told previously to list the dla as income even though it is not included but to put down what i use it for.
my doctor is going to write a letter to the or to advise that i have RA and hopefully i may be allowed to keep a vechicle |
