Has anybody else been affected by a new tax code, and having their NT IPA lowered accordingly?
I went BR in August (paying £94 tax per month average), and since the tax code change I'm now paying £87). I think my NT code will be set this month, as I received a letter from HMRC.
Moon Beever are really dragging their heels in, I've had to send the same wage slips in 3 times now, and then they never read the letters I send properly.

Hi Zamfir
My OH also had the same problem with the NT code and Moonbeever.
Originally the OR said that we should pay £285 per month, but without the night rate money and a drop in wages per month the PAYE had gone down, the OR did not sort this out but Moonbeever did.
We have now been advised to pay £207 and not £285, so bear with them and they will sort it out.

Do you know how long it takes for it to be set up. Sent off my three wage slips to Moon Beever, and made first payment IPA. Received a letter from them today saying thanks for the wage slips, we are still sorting out your NT payments and look forward to receiving monthly wageslips thereon. My NT code will be implemented this months wages.

Hi Maizie
I have made my first payment to them via standing order ours took 8 weeks from signing 9th Sept with the OR to the code be implemented in the wages, which started the 28th Oct, first payment went out 29th Oct to them.
I dont have an IPA for any other payments just the NT code one.
I also dont think that now that its set up that we have to send of anymore wage slips, from what i understood they only needed to see the wage slips up to the code being started.
If your code goes into effect this month then it would be beg of next month say about the 7th that you would start to pay the tax to them.

Thanks Jo. They did say that they would want wage slips until notified otherwise.

I went BR early August, signed the NT IPA early September, but have still not be switched to NT code.
HMRC did send me a letter stating that it will be implemented soon, so let's see.
Jo, do you have to pay Standing Order or can you just do a bank transfer? The reason I ask, is that I'm paid 4-weekly and not monthly.
Cheers, T. |

Here's a question: does a nil tax code ipa officially END when the tax code changes at the end of the tax year in which a person goes bankrupt or does the ipa remain in place for the remainder of three years AFTER the end of the tax year just in case the bankrupt's income increases?
I can't find an answer to this so far.

I have answered your quesiton on your other thread :-)
Zamfir
Yes i pay by Standing Order but they also sent me out 6 letters so that i could send off a cheque for the amount each month and have a copy of the letter they sent included in the envelope. I prefer SO's as then i know its safe and i have better proof that i paid it.
Take care all

| I went BR in June, went on to NT code in Septembers salary, called OR to find out how and where to pay and was told to call some company (can't remember who). Anyway this company said they had no record of me so to call my OR again. I called the OR and was told that they were changing the co who administered these payments and would contact me with details of who to pay. That was 6 weeks ago and still heard nothing, i now have 2 months unpaid tax sat in my bank and in a couple of weeks that will be 3 months worth. Now i know it has to be paid but it isn't half hard not touching it at this time of year especially. |

Hi Guys
That was my problem i wanted to make sure that the IPA money was sent off as soon as it hit our bank, otherwise i would get into trouble for spending what is not ours;-)
I did send of the next day after it went in and its due out on the 28th of each month by SO until 28th March when the last payment is due to come out.
Moonbeever did sort out our problem quite quickly and we managed to get the money sent within the month from when they said they had taken on the case.
Good luck guys
