I had literacy and numeracy tests today for a position with the DWP, which I passed. They have now arranged for me to have an interview next week; however they have also given me a Character form to help assess my suitability for the position, on this form it asks if you are an undischarged bankrupt. I asked the DWP if my being bankrupt would hinder my application and they advised me just to complete the form and they will see - does anyone believe it is even worthwhile for me to go to the interview, as I generally think that if they are asking this question, then they probably won't hire me because of it?
I think you should go for it. The worst they can say is no, but if they do it would be there loss.
I cant see why it would be an issue but i still think you should go for it and if they have said no find out when you may be able to apply again once discharged.
