Hi

they will likely see the notice of your bankruptcy in the London Gazette and or Stubbs Gazette which are trade papers to the finance industry.

Failing that the Official Receiver will also notify them. This can sometimes take a while so it is possible that you will continue to receive letters / calls after your bankruptcy.

In the event of you receiving calls from creditors you should have your bankruptcy number at the ready plus the contact details of the OR's office dealing with your case.

When I declared bankruptcy I rang all creditors myself and gave them the same info.

Never heard anymore but the choice is yours.

Hi there i also contacted all my creditors on the day of my bankruptcy and gave them all the info for the court date etc.

Only had a few letters after that and def no calls.

It can take the OR a few weeks to write to them and even longer for the creditors to update there files and systems as usually they have so many depts and they just dont seem to communicate.

Hi Mark

I gave them a false number and asked them to change my number to the false one.

Its nice and quiet now without getting anything from the creditors.

Not had anything from the OR in over 2 months now, but like you Jenny im not complaining.

I would love to get a early chrissy present from them like

"We have finished with your file and would like to offer you an ED"

Now wouldn't that be fab!

No chance, LOL
