I have just been given a £500 a year payrise. I am just writing a letter enclosing my new payslip and have basically put that this was a 2.3% payrise which is well under the RPI. I am assuming that this is ok? What are the chances of me keeping this extra money, it works out at an extra £28.69 a month. Obviously food and electric has gone up.

Oh and I forgot, who do I write this letter to? Is it Moon Beever or my OR?

Hi Maizie,

I would suggest writing to both just to be on the safe side. As long as this payrise doesn't take you over the magic £100 DI, it should have no impact. In addition, I would suggest revising your income and expenditure upward to take account of any price rises in your living expenses.

Well I have posted my new wage slip to Moon Beever and my OR, fingers crossed they let me keep the extra £28.69 a month! Anybody had any luck keeping their bonuses?

Hi Maizie,

These seem to be looked at on a case-by-case basis, so it would be impossible to comment on whether you'll be allowed to keep it. Please let us know when you find out as it would be very useful for the other members of the forum!

I have just spoken to Moon Beever who said that keeping my bonus probably wouldn't be a problem as it was below RPI. Also spoken to Official Receiver who said he would call Moon Beever to confirm that was ok so that they can send a letter out to me with confirmation. He said it seemed to make sense to keep payments the same!

Just hope this is all agreed and I get the letter!
