Hi

don't know about the online forms but the other contributions figure is one of the most important figures that you enter on the SoA.

It doesn't ask for your partners net income so why put it? The debts are yours not theirs. The higher the contribution, the higher the potential disposable income so the more likely an IPA will be proposed. The upshot of that is that your partners excess income over and above essential expenditure will be paying your IPA.

Get the expenditure figure correct first. (A)
Then enter your income plus benefits.(B)

Then deduct B from A and enter that figure as your partner's contribution.

Voila!!!!
No IPA.

Ok, Thanks John. I get it ,
But as we are both going bankrupt, do I do the same thing on my partners forms with regards my income? Won't the OR think something is a bit dodgy if they look at both forms? Just dont want to get into trouble & between us there is quite a bit of disposable income, at least £500.
Will be posting my i&e for inspection later

Hi

absolutely correct.
If both partners are declaring then both net incomes must be declared on both sets of doc's.
Sorry for that, my previous post only works when one party is declaring not both.
