im going bankrupt within the next 2months but i have a debt of 300 council tax from previous property that i want to include. i now have a letter saying i have 14days or baliffs are coming from the council.
what should i do, i cant afford to give them anything at all im really barely struggling to eat/get to work :(
I would recommend speaking to the council and arranging a repayment plan. Councils to not have to use the usual route through the courts to recover these arrears .... they just need to get a liability order from the court and can have a bailiff at your doorstep the same day!

As long as you keep paying the amount you agree with them initially by a certain date, then i see no reason why you would have to pay through an account.

I would suggest picking up the phone and talking to them. If they insist on a payment, try and do it by debit/pre-pay credit card so you can control what they take!
