Hi

Just a quick Q. We declared last week and have our respective telephone interviews this coming Thursday. We know the car is gone. At the moment I have use of a business needs vehicle that I get private mileage for and which is sourced out of my wage. The wifes car hs a value of £4.9k which we know is going to go.

How soon do they recover the vehicle as its strictly speaking our only one - mine is not used at weekends as its usually full of work safety stuff and we use my wifes as its got the child and baby seats in place. Also, do we deliver it or do we have someone come with a low loader etc - to remove it?

We're just hoping they allow us some value back to purchase another vehicle as we're moving into rented property and it'll mean bus trips followed by a mile walk to and from school with a 4 year old and an 18 month old 4 times a day. We're moving to a village nearby as its in my sons catchment area and also in the same catchment area for my wife to continue seeing the same psychological counsellor shes been with for the last year and a half. I know they dont have to but I can only hope.

Hi

as there is equity in your wife's car this should be collected fairly swiftly. Within a few days of interview.

Unless your wife needs a vehicle for work it is unlikely you will receive any monies from the OR to replace it I'm afraid, but it is always worth asking on the basis of the school run etc.
