there is no equity in my home. What happens to the mortgage if a friend or relative makes the offer of a £1 to the OR. I'm sure I've got this mixed up in my own mind. Does the friend or relative then have to take over the mortgage?

Hey Carol and welcome to the forum

One the beneficial interest has been bought, then it is still your responsibility to pay the mortgage not your friend or relative.
