Hi again!

I finished my form filling this morning and, full of trepidation, rang the court to book my appointment. The earliest I could get was 4 March (3 weeks away).

I have now had to stop paying my cards/loans etc. I have had a email from Cahoot (1 day after my dd was not paid), asking me to ring them. Should I ring them and tell them about my going bankrupt, and my court date? Also, I wonder if I should tell my banks and other creditors about the court date? If I do, are they likely to still hassle me? I suffer from depression/anxiety anyway, and am terrified that the hassle will affect me badly. Should I not answer phone calls/respond to ansaphone messages/emails? I really don't know what to do. Sorry for all the questions!

I am on benefits (as I am a carer), and have already arranged to have my benefits paid by girocheque, so I will not need to use my bank aco**** again.

To be honest I don't know if it will make any difference if you tell your creditors or not. I didn't as I was in an IVA and went BR as soon as it failed.

If the phone calls are going to make you ill then to be honest I wouldn't answer them - it's not worth risking your health x

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

hi, my court date is 27th feb and last night 1 creditor rang and instead of me giving them excuses i just said i'm going bankrupt soon she was quite understanding and said she'd put any calls on hold, she still asked for a payment but i said i didnt have anything, ive been ignoring calls from 12 creditors or giving excuses or telling them i'd pay on a certain day but i think i'm just going to start answering and tell them the truth.
