I went to court today! Everybody was lovely and the whole process was not so bad after all.
I have just had a phone call from my OR though and she was really nice but thinks I will need to meet her in person rather than have a phone interview, because the debt totals to around 40k (secured loan, negative equity, 2 credit cards).....
That sounds ominous to me and has made me quite nervous as I wasn't expecting it. I actually thought my situation was strait forward and I have all my paperwork sorted and together.
Has anybody else had this experience and does it sound strange to you or am I just being paranoid??
Hi there and great news that everything went okay...don't worry about the appointment with the OR - if it ends up face to face it is a far better experience for you - all they will want to know is your situation, but face 2 face you will be able to get a response to all your queries and concerns. People usually leave the office following a meeting in a far clearer picture/position than after a phone call - oh for the days when everyone had a face to face interview - you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Have the first good nights sleep in ages, and well done

HI ROBIN I Wouldnt worry about it our case is similar to yours 1 credit card 1 loan and a secured loan shortfall total 70k. or insisted on phone interview wish we had requested face to face now as you are entitled to do. IF youve got all your paperwork sorted you will be fine you said she sounded nice and she most probably is, ours sounded a bit of a bar steward when arranging interview and just confirmed it during the interview.
