i was made bankrupt on 6/1/2009 recently recieved a letter from tax office telling me i would shortly rec a new tax code up to 6/4/2009 and a tax refund would be paid to the OR and i would not pay any tax until april,i presume the tax i should have paid needs to go to the OR,it was calculated we did not have enough disposable income to contribute to the BR so will this make any difference, also i have a motability car that is due for change in april does the OR need to know

Hi

I'm of the opinion that you have been sent a standard letter informing you of your tax code change.

Quite correctly both you and the letter have stated this arrangement would cease at the end of the current tax year and therefore, taking into account the date of your bankruptcy, the date as of now and the 6th April end date, I doubt your code will actually change at all.

It should make no difference but out of courtesy I would keep the OR informed of your motability arrangements.
