My bankruptcy hearing is due to be held on Thursday at 2.00pm. It does not say on the petition whether or not I have to attend court.
I am also concerned about an advaertisement being placed in the local paper; my daughter lives with us and has recently become a police officer and whilst it should not impact on her career the fact that the adddress is printed in full could be an issue.
I have not received msuch help from the Ip who failed my IVA becasue I was unable to meet the payments following failure of a family business in which I was a Partner.

Hi

If you are being made Br then you do not need to attend court.

The Insolvency Service will send you loads of paperwork out within around 10 days which you will need to complete before you have a face to face interview with them.

You can use your IVA proposal as the basis of the information.

Hi

at a cost of around £30 you can also apply for a stay of advertisement but you may be too late.
Contact the court today and explain that you need the stay application to be heard before the hearing and they will, if they can, fit you in.

You will need to attend this hearing and the judge may only be free at the time of your bankruptcy hearing.
Worth a phone call to find out anyway.
