I have just phoned Bristol County Court to confirm my appointment for tomorrow and have been told that there is no appointment for either myself or my wife.

After a bit of searching it was discovered that the appointment had been written in for the 20th February instead of 20th March by mistake.

There are no appointments until May and we are due to move to Ireland on Moday 23rd March.

Any ideas on what we can do?

Can we just go to the High Court in London tomorrow?

Jez

Can Bristol not fit you in as the fault was down to them in wrongly recording the date? I would go through to the Diary Manager Mrs Parsons/Mrs Brunt on 0117 9106760 or the office manager Mr Fowler on 0117 9106701 and explain the urgency of the situation due to the move

I do not know the answer to the High Court question - I suppose you have nothing to lose by giving them a ring on 020 7947 6441 (This is the number for the bankruptcy section) and ask them whether this is possible)

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply Melanie.

I phoned back to talk to the Bankruptcy Clerk and was told that we had both been added to the appointments for tomorrow, so panic over!

Phew!

I think my stress meter is in overdrive.

Cheers

Well done, I am pleased you are able to sort this for tomorrow and good luck, remember to let us know how it goes - remember also to take 3 copies of the forms - unsigned or dated as you do this in front of the clerk when you 'swear' the documents.

Thanks Melanie,

I have printed 3 copies of each of our forms, although Bristol County Court have previously told us that we only need one copy each. However, I'm not taking any chances so I'll take 3 copies, all unsigned, the fees, proof of address, proof of ID...

I think that should be everything.

I will of course let you all know how it goes tomorrow.

Cheers
