yeah, it's kinda strang now, almost as if nothing has really happened. We dont have an IPA, though I may be getting promoted and then get one. Creditors have stopped calling, most have now sent us letters to say they know we're BR.

Although my BR was 2 years ago I can still remember the worry before hand, the relief when I'd been to court and then when the OR interview was over, and then the feeling of 'is that it?'

You'll probably find the IPA payments go quite quickly as well - I still can't believe I've made 22 payments!

I'm hoping my IPA will be reassessed without any problems as I've got a pay cut from this month!

The story so far!

At the end of February we were all asked to take a voluntary 7% pay cut (it didn't feel that voluntary to me!) as the company isn't doing too well and the idea is that it will hopefully stop further job losses.

I agreed straight away and contacted Moon Beever to ask them to send me a new I & E form, as although I wouldn't know how much my new take home is for until the end of April I wanted to start getting the information together. They wouldn't do this until I knew how much I would be taking home, and I would also need a letter from my employer as they weren't sure if a payslip would suffice.

I asked what to do about April's payment, as I get paid on the 25th and my IPA payment is due on 30th. I was told to put the money aside and they would collect it later - they couldn't tell me how much to put aside until the payment was reassessed!

After stewing for a week or so I decided to ring the RTLU who are dealing with my case - I couldn't have got a more different response! The new I & E was sent to me within a couple of days, and she has notified MB that April's payment will be late or may be missed completely. As soon as I get my payslip (which is enough for her to reassess my IPA) I am to return the completed IPOQ with a copy of the payslip and she will reassess the payment as soon as possible.

Fingers crossed she's as nice when she reassesses the payment as she was on the phone!

Hi all
Just over 3 months in
No IPA at the moment,
OR is going to assess once I have given her my accounts to the end of the year,
I have stayed Self employed,
I have found it to easier in some ways, and Hard in others, Most of my work is paid 2 months after invoice date. so the money has only just started to come in,
Luckily I have realy helpful parents.with the bills.
Hopefully things will get easier soon.
I had one bit of luck with my Electric company Eon
at first they wanted to put in a Pre Payment Meter,
I offered a deposit to them, and they agreed.

All the best

Just a quick update about my IPA reassessment - I finally found out last week that I have lost approx £80 a month, so I sent off my IPOQ and payslip and it has been reassessed and I am now paying £161 a month rather than £186. It seems a bit harsh that although I've lost £80 I'm only getting £25 off my IPA, but I talked it over with my OH and we can manage.

On word of advice - make sure you keep all correspondence relating to your BR. The OR thought I had 17 payments left when I've only got 14. We went through the payments and 2 were because of the change to Moon Beaver, and the other one was the first IPA payment from June 2007, which Clarke Willmott said at the time I hadn't paid. I could prove I had paid it, and I had the correspondence from CW agreeing that the payment had been made, which I've now sent to the OR.

Glad you're getting it sorted Skippy.

It would have been awful if you hadn't kept the letter and they insisted that you pay!

The glimmer gets brighter all the time
