Hi
Due to the separation from my Husband I will now be the only wage earner in the home.
I was BR on 26 Feb 09. I have applied to get the mortgage changed to Interest Only so I can attempt to make ends meet but thing like Sky will have to go. I may even end up renting because of the neg eq in the property and being able to rent for less.
Will I be able to end the contract from Sky - 6 mths left and include this in my BR even though I have already had my OR interview.

Hope someone can help, my mind is all over the place at the moment due to the separation but I know I have made the right decision

There is light at the end of the tunnel, I can actually see it !!!!

Hi

you do need to decide about the house well before the sky.

this is because the compound debt from sky is small relative to your ongoing ability to maintain the mortgage, with the negative equity and ongoing interest rises.

when i see most people now they initially want to keep the house, but after things have calmed down a little and they can reflect on the situation it can take many years just to break even and it can be a very long time before the house becomes anything other than a liability.

take some time to carefully review your options and if you haven't already purchased the BI - i am sure you haven't had time yet - then the house can fall in the br.

the oR may well include sky as well but you will need to ask him.
