I would rather use a Credit Management Company to resolve my debt problems, unfortunately there are to many out there that have caused friends of mine hassle and I have been told I should just go bankrupt and avoid this option. My Questions are "Should I go Bankrupt rather than attempt Credit Management?" and If I do use a UK based Credit Management Company "Which Company would be the best to go with?"

You should never go bankrupt unless it is really your best option and certainly not to save any hassle.

Speak to a couple of Insolvency Practitioners about your situation and to find out your options. Good ones that spring to mind are:

CCCS - http://www.cccs.co.uk/Free
England Jackman & Spacey - http://www.ejands.co.uk/ (post a lot on this board)
Reviva UK - http://www.revivauk.com/ (also post a lot on this board)
Melanie Giles - http://www.melaniegiles.com/ (posts a lot on the IVA board (http://www.iva.co.uk/)
Clear Debt - http://www.cleardebt.co.uk/ (also post a lot on the IVA board)

Check all of your options and then decide on the best course for your situation.
