Morning Davelvg,
I went to Birmingham. If you view previous thread I posted around 7th April. The main thing I was surprised about was that when you arrive you go into a reception type room which has bailiffs at one window and BR at the other. The clerk goes through your paperwork. I had produced my forms on-line and the pages that printed off were not numbered so I had to number all three copies there which threw me a little. Page 1 starting at Section 1 Personal Details, not the front pages (Debtors Petition). The clerk goes through the forms at the kiosk and there may be other people waiting in the same room so you do feel quite "exposed" but then again we are all in the same boat so could be seen as a comfort. Reckon it is probably same at most courts. I saw several clerks as I had to keep making amendments on my forms. Two of them were fine but another was quite abrupt in her manner which did not allay my anxieties much but she did mellow once I had seen the judge and she gave me my stamped BR statement. The judge was fine and not at all overbearing. All seemed daunting at the time but having had a couple of weeks now to mull it over it was not that bad at all. I do recommend, however, that you don't go on your own. It really helps to have another person there especially if you have to make amendments on your forms etc. My friend helped me sort all the papers and had the more "sound" mind on the day!!!
Good luck.
