Once you made bankrupt can you open a saving account. Will OR be able to take any savings say 6 months down the line

The OR will only take what is worked out for the IPA and this only happens if you have more than £99 excess after your outgoings have been paid. Anything else is yours to do with as you please.

I think the Yorkshire Bank and Abbey savings accounts are pretty BR friendly unless they were one of your creditors of course. I have seen some people refused a Co-op savings account even though the Basic account is BR friendly, which is a bit strange.

Yeah, I think you can apply for the Abbey one online so you get your answer there and then. Abbey are one of my creditors so I will be trying the Yorkshire bank. I'll (hopefully) be BR next Monday and one of the first things I'll be doing is opening a savings account. I may only be able to save a couple of pounds some months but I'll make sure that I save something every month.

20th May my date and will open a savings account maddnesss when i gt 2 accounts with 1p in

Hi
The yorkshire banks savings account comes with a maestro card, so that be useful too.
Natwest are BR Friendly for their savings account not Bank Accounts except the Cash Account which doesnt allow direct debits or standing orders.
