hi all, im hoping someone will be able to answe some questions for me
we went BR on the 12th jan, and when we had our telephone interview we were told that we would be recommended for early discharge in 6 months, today i have needed to speak to my OR and asked if there was a chance that this was still going to happen, he said yes we a had complied with everything asked of us so he would be sending out the I & E forms within the next month.............what happens then, are we discaharged from the date of the forms ??? will we be informed in writing what date ??? what do they normally request from you for this to go ahead ??? and does that mean thats it ! you can earn, or have a windfall etc and keep it ???
Once you receive the I&E forms and you complete them they will go to the OR/RTLU. It can take 2 months or so after submitting the forms until you are actually discharged. The OR/RTLU contacts your creditors to see if any of the object to the ED. If they think that your income will change before you are automatically discharged and you will be liable for an IPA then they may object but otherwise won't. You aren't always notified of this so keep an eye on the Insolvency Register.
If you are not liable to an IPA before you are discharged then an IPA cannot be imposed so if you win the lottery or have a large pay rise 1 day after being discharged and did not receive an IPA you can keep the lot
