for those a bit further down the line...
when did you go BR?
When did you get a BRU?
When did you get an IPA?
When did you get transfered to RTLU?
When did you get the I&E update form for early discharge?
When did your early discharge go through?

I'm going back a bit, but I went BR in March 2007.
I didn't get a BRU.
I was told I would get an IPA at my interview and I made the first payment 3 months later.
I don't know when my case was transferred to RTLU as they didn't tell me, I only found out from the insolvency register! It was then transferred to a different RTLU and I only found out when I had to contact them and was given a different phone number!
I didn't get ED.

I think you only get a BRU if you have done something wrong, like borrowing the money for gambling, don't you?

Yes, you only get a BRU if you have been reckless, gambled, borrowed money knowing you couldn't pay it back etc.

Both hubby and I went bankrupt end of August 2007
Bit of wrangling over an IPA but we did not get one
I got early discharge in February/March 2008 (cannot remember now)- did not get an I&E form to fill in as I was not working
Hubby had just a Nil Tax IPA and he was transferred to RTLU in February 2008. He did receive I&E form to fill in, the OR sent an IPA form to sign, we thought it unfair and challenged it, the matter was dropped and he got early discharge in April 2008

as an aside from this, we were BR on 3rd march, some friends of ours went BR on 27th feb, both in the same court, and both had exeter as our OR. Just looked on the register, and they are now listed as the OR office at Swansea (swansea is where the RTLU for the south west is). Does this mean they've been transferred to the RTLU?
will ours be much longer after that?

It sounds as though you just have to wait for discharge.

Jan is right, all you can do is wait to be discharged.
Sparkle, do you have any assets or are you paying an IPA as these are generally the reasons that a case will be passed to the RTLU.
