I am filing for bankrupcy in the next couple of weeks i have a mortgage of £114000 and the property is worth around £130000 do i have to lose my house ? Is there anyway that we can keep the house we have never missed any payments and its all we left to give the children when their older and when we have gone !! Going out of my mind with worry please help

If someone can buy your interest in the house for @15,000 pounds then you would be able to keep it. Are your children grown up?

no they are still young ! Just want to be able to give them something when they are older at the moment just feel like a complete failure as a parent and ashamed that we have allowed ourselves to get into this state

You are not a failure and no need to be ashamed.

We have all been there.

You can now teach your children how to value money and not to take on credit if they can't afford it.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time
