well, our landlord is thinking of selling up, so we're porlly gonna have to moveon and rent somewhere new. This is very daunting with a dog and 4 cats, and being BR.
So I rang the OR and explained, and asked if they could give me an idea whether I might get ED, and low and behold, my IPOQ is due to be sent in the next 2 weeks :D
It doesnt solve the problem (being unflexible potential landlords), but it is something at least.
They weren't weird or annoyed that I'd asked at all!

Sparkle,
Just a cautious word of warning - our bankruptcy was recently passed to the Early Discharge Officer and IPOQs were sent out. Shortly after sending them back we each received an IPA request in the post - mine being for 50% of my total income!!
You may get the same in the post - an IPA is NOT a legal document - if you do not think you should not have an IPA or IPO applied then do not sign the form - instead write back and refer the OR back to the IPOQ you have submitted - even if your income does exceed your expenditure on the IPOQ (ours was minus £8) you do not have to agree with their first figure - believe it or not they now appear to be target based!
Do not be shocked if you do receive an IPA, especially if you cannot afford it - write back and explain why - the OR has to go in front of a judge to obtain an IPO and the judges will normally favour the bankrupt.
But fingers crossed your ER swims through!! |

This happened to hubby when he sent his EDREV form in, we had a bit of a wrangle for an IPA at the start of bankruptcy, did not get one, we filled in EXACTLY the same I&E again and the OR sent an IPA to sign
We questioned it and did not get one in the end, do not sign it if you do not agree to it |

We did exactly the same were given an a high IPA after completing IPOQ ED forms, we questioned it and it was reduced to nil. However hubby has since recieved small pay rise which we have told OR off and not heard anything from him yet, on the same hand we were told we should get early discharge by end july beg Aug......still waiting. I appreciate they are very busy at mo , so fingers crossed you get Ed quickly, I am still hoping but will ghet automatic on 4th Nov, so part of me thinks we will prob just have to wait till then.
Good Luck my advice definatly question an IPA if you feel it is high!! |

The edrev was sent out the day after I rang them, and arrived this morning. Have put on the same as before, minus the £25 a month my wages have drropped by, which makes us - £46 income to cover expenditure. hopefully they won't find a way to knock £145 off us to give us an IPA, but I will be objecting anyhow as they said when I was earning 25 more that my I&E was fine, no possible IPA.
