help please,what should i bring to the co-op bank if i apply an account.and i go br next month,can i apply co-op now?

hi we opened our co op account before br and did it all over the phone and had no problems.we just said we wanted a cashminder account as going br .within few days forms arrived and that was it

You can apply now and if you are going to a branch to open the account take a photo ID (i.e. passport, driving licence) and something with your address on it (utility bill, bank statement, driving licence) in case you need to provide proof of your id.

You should also tell them that you are declaring BR. There won't be any problems with opening the account but it is best to let them know in advance you are declaring BR.

Hi Rabbit 007

Jusat to say the Coo-op Bank are FANTASTIC - I went to another bank first and they did not want me!!

I went to the Co-op with ID and they opened the "Cashminder" account there and then - I said I was an UD BR and they said not a problem sir - ".... we think most of the new BRs in the city are with us..." she said with a friendly smile.

My wife who is not BR has also opened a Cashminder A/C and the same applies - they are freat - when I am discharged, I will stay with them for the rest of my days...
