Hi,

I just started to try and tidy up my credit file. I wrote to my creditors and left it a month before signing up for credit expert. A lot of the creditors have marked the account as satisfied which is good, but egg have left the balance outstanding. I was expecting this as they told me they require a certificate of discharge from the court (£60), but I only sent a letter from the OR.

But more mysterious is the missing MBNA credit card account, and the missing 6K overdraft from a natwest current account? Even if these had been sold on - why arent they on my file!? Would an overdraft on a current account appear on this? Certainly the MBNA account should be on there?

Regards and thanks again...

Hi,

I would just like to add I have found the MBNA one under equifax, but not under creditexpert? It was listed as Max Recovery. Is this important that it is in one file but not another?

Also, would a Natwest current account overdraft be listed in a CRF? I cant find it in either...and am worried it has been sold on and "hidden"....

regards

i

Not all creditors report to all 3 credit agencies, so don't worry if they aren't on all of them.

I didn't have an overdraft (about the only thing I didn't have!) so I'm not sure about that, but I would have thought that it would just show as a debt to Natwest.

I'm surprised about Egg wanting a certificate of discharge from the court as they updated my files without it. I sent them the printout from the Insolvency Service webiste and they didn't question it.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Hi

The natwest debt may show as the RBS Group, my overdraft with RBS shows as Natwest on my file, the credit card is listed as Max recovery.

If in doubt contact your credit expert and ask, you dont want a creditor demanding payment even though they are not allowed to

Hi,

Thanks. I cant find the overdraft as NatWest or RBS on either CreditExpert/Experian or Equifax. Do I need to check anywhere else, or would you advise speaking first to the credit reference agency or Natwest themselves?

I am worried it is lying around somewhere or has been sold on - and will come back at some point.

Regards

You also need to get a copy of your credit file from Call Credit. It's often the least accurate of the 3 files, but is the one that a lot of companies buy information from.

Thanks,

Not there either! This is going to be a nightmare, there seems to be no consistency across the 3 agencies. Some are marked as settled and some as default.
