| Have just been trying to log in to online banking, but have been refused due to account status, so dashed down to my local branch to check on the machine. Looks like my accounts still open, but worried it might be frozen overnight. Trouble is i get paid in the morning, and have the rent and council tax to pay. What should i do? The OR has no interest in this account, and i've got to see someone about changing to a cashcard account on Friday. Do they give any notice before freezing accounts? |

Get in touch with the OR and explain the situation, they would then not take steps to freeze the account (if they had, they can contact the bank and unfreeze) Hope this helps

Thanks Melanie, been so worried, woke up at 4 this morning, wondering wether to go down the high st and check, but in the end i went out at 6. I phoned Barclays at 6.30, and according to them my account IS still open, and theres no letters sent out to say it will be frozen. She said my account could be downgraded, so that might be why i dont have online banking any more. So thats a relief, least i got the rent paid!! |
