Hi
Im a bit confused here, im planning on going back to uni full time in september to do a foundation degree in sports, I am currently on employment support allowance benefits and waiting since june to hear about disability living allowance. The benefits office have said I should be able to keep getting my benefits as its from NI contribution only and wait til I get Disability and hear otherwise from them just send sick notes, but the jobcentre have said no I cant.

Does anyone claim this benefit and do this? What would bee best to do?

hi again Stu,

I get ESA at the moment - I do not have a physical disability - I get it because I suffered a nervous breakdown in April when my 2 businesses went BANG!! It was then that I went onto ESA and went BR in mid May

If no body responds from this forum, maybe ask at the CAB>

Whatever happens good luck to you, Richard

Thanks Richard

I get it for the same reason, and the CAB said I would be eligible for basic DLA due to parts of my anxiety I.e I wont go out and about to new places and need constant prompting
