I all!!

One of my creditors sold my debt to a company called APEX and this company sent me a letter 2-3 weeks ago that said I must pay now in full or they will come to my house. None of my creditors know where I live as I have moved recently and yesterday I received another letter from APEX saying if I dont ring them soon they will arrange for a homevisit. (all my post are beeing forwarded from old adr)
It's a bit scary, but I am trying to kep my head up as I am saving to go BR.

Should I write them a brief letter saying I have moved so they don't disturb the poor person who now lives where I lived..? And also mention that I will declare BR withing next 3 mnths...??
Or should I still ignore these letters....???

Heelp!!

You could phone them and say that you have moved, are going BR and refuse to give them your new address.

Even if they send somone round, you do not have to speak to them or pay them any money.

The majority of the time they threaten and then don't turn up.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time

MBNA passed my debts onto 2 collection agencies (I had 2 credit cards with them) and they did exactly the same. They would put a card through the postbox and say that they would call between 8am and 8pm on a particular day. I never bothered contacting them and no-one turned up at the front door.

A lot of times this is just a scare tactic to get people to call them as they don't want anyone coming to the door.

Hi again

Thank you all for your answers and help!!

I will try and ignore the letters and threats for now.

I have at least opened my Coop cashminder account so I feel I am on-the-way'ish!! Just waiting the card and doc's.

Have a great weekend all!!
