Dear Sir or Madam,

I have left the country (UK) in hope of finding a job and a better life. I owe over £20000 to different creditors and can not keep up paying the monthly payments. How can I declare myself bankrupt without coming back to the UK as I can not afford to do so.

Many Thanks

Mehrdad

Have you left the country less than 3 yrs ago and are you now living outside of the UK?

If the answers to both question are 'yes' then you should contact Paul from RevivaUK (revivauk.com) as he is able to declare BR on your behalf. This would mean you signing over the power of attorney to him and he would petition for BR on your behalf.

There would be a charge for this service and depending where you live it may be cheaper for you to fly back and represent yourself.

If you decide to petition yourself then you you would need to petition at the High Court in London and the BR fee is £522.
