Wits end!!
hi all
I've petitioned my own bankruptcy and my date is end of oct, just wondering what happens from now on.
How much info do i have to take - bank statements bills etc??
My g/f paid for my car £3500 about a year ago and has proof of this - will this effect if they take it off me?
I have no personal possessions after selling most things to tyr and get out of debt so how will the OR pay back my creditors?? I earn around 1300 a month and expenses are about 600 ( however current debt payments are about 750 but one creditor is asking for an increase to 750 per month from 120 thus causing the bankruptcy) i owe a total of 33k

sorry for all the questions but reading the other posts has really helped so far

Hi Kev,for the court hearing all you need is the two court documents (some courts you need 3 copies). You wont need any statements at this stage.
If you can show that your g/f bought it then it should be ok. Most of the time your creditors dont get paid back as most bankrupts dont have any assets. They dont take household items unless they ave very new or expensive. Some times you have to pay a proportion of your wages for up to 3 years but will allow all reasonable household expenditure.

dont worry about asking lots of questions, thats what we are here for.

have you taken any advice from the likes of CAB, CCCS or national debtline

Check with the court how many copies of the BR forms you need. As Debtinfo says it can vary, and if you haven't got enough they can charge the earth to photocopy it for you!

Ask as many questions as you need as there's always someone around to answer x
