Hi All

We were automatically discharged a couple of weeks ago and straight away I set out trying to clean up our credit file, with the template letter posted on this site and a copy of our discharge cert.
Some creditors have been good and agreed to comply, however some say they have now sold the debt on and this does not apply to them, but when viewing our credit file on credit expert non of the companies who have taken on our debt are shown??? Even though the original creditors still show with a big default next to them.

I dont intend to take out further finance EVER, but would like to see credit file showing satisfied or settled

Any ideas???

Thanks Michelle

if after you have written to the creditors with a copy of your discharge and given them time to do something with it , they still do not show your accounts as satisfied ot partially satisfied, you can contact the credit reference agency and ask them to look into it for you.
if after all that i think there is an ombudsman type person you can complain to and they will rectify your credit file to show what it should.

If it's only been a couple of weeks since discharge I wouldn't expect it to be right yet tbh. I would wait a bit longer before getting worried about it.
