i need some advice on how to proceed. as i have said in a previous post i owe alot of money with no hope of paying back, 5k to Natwest card services and a loan of 23k to Natwest, i haven't got a chance to get the money to go bankrupt which would be my first choice. i am being chased for the 5k but nothing has been heard about the loan but i am stuck on how to move forward, do i just keep ignoring the debt collector or contact Natwest directly about the loan and credit card debt and explain that i can't pay it and hope that by going to court that i will be made bankrupt.
bankruptcy is the only viable solution to this mess.

Hi Andy

unfortauntly the loan will not just disappear, it is probably being swapped between offices ! (sorry)

How far down the cant pay route are you ? how many missed payments have you claimed ? The further you are down the route the more intensive you will find their actions

The likely hood of one of your creditors making you BR is remote unless they believe that you have assets.

when you write ignore the debt collector, is this a baliff following a court hearing or a man with a clip board trying to encourage you to give some money to his organisation.

how did you get on with CAB ? whats ur motor worth ? did you keep the endowment from the house ? can you save money on rental accomodation ?

If you apply for BR whilst unemployed you may qualify for a reduction in the fees ?

their are options but as you say the options are reducing as time goes forward.

you have said that dad is just retiring but positive to help if you have to swallow the pride and ask for £500 do so it will save you a lot of mental anguish.

Once you have walked into that court and the District Judge approves your application it is like a massive weight being lifted.

Then you can focus on the things that are important to you.

keep your head up

good luck

there are also a cople of charitable type funds that may pay for the BR fees, if i remember correctly British Gas and other utility companies are the main ones, if you apply and are successful they fund your fees completely
it is highly unlikely that a creditor (apart from AMEX HMRC or Local Council) will make you BR they make threats and eventually go for a CCJ but thats about it unless you have obvious assets .

Don't worry or know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum.(Baz Lurman)
RevivaUK helped me through it all i can't recommend them enough!!
