Posted - 26 June 2008 : 08:09:37 Thanks Melanie, Well I just used Parkers and the valuation was between £2460 and £2860, so very accurate. Fingers crossed xxxxxx

Posted - 25 June 2008 : 21:37:45 Parkers are a firm of valuers used extensively by the OR. You could also use Glass's Guide.

Posted - 25 June 2008 : 20:51:20 Hi Suzanne, Thanks for that info, what is a Parker type scale though? My car is worth between £2400 and £2800.

Posted - 25 June 2008 : 16:01:14 Hi andy The OR will usually allow a vehicle worth up to £2500-£3000 as exempt. The valuation will be done on a Parker type scale, so have a look and see if it may be worth less than that. If not do you have anyone who could pay the difference?
