Posted - 02 June 2010 : 08:30:14 I am a US citizen and may file for bankruptcy soon. My wife and I are planning on moving to the UK (she is a dual citizen) and I was wondering how this may affect my visa and affect building credit history in the UK.

The conversation and lines of communication accross the pond are not always clear.
Uk & Europe have banking systems that talk to each other.
you may struggle as any other US citizen in building a credit history, if asked about bankruptcy you would have to declare the information.
I do not know how it would effect your Visa application.
you may have to get your timing correct for it all to run smoothly.
