Posted - 03 March 2012 : 11:26:09 I was discharged from bankruptcy a year ago but a debt collection agency has been calling my father's house. What they can do, if anything. I am out of the country.

I was just startiing a new abnk account etc whcih is why it may have been flagged up but I am scared of keeping any money in there now. I am sure I included everything in the bankruptcy but I will wait for them to call back, I think it may be an old gym mebership that I cancelled early but they didnt except it.

Was this a debt that was included in your bankruptcy? If so then the company cannot ask for anything at all.
If it was then I suggest you contact this company, send them a copy of your discharge and tell them to go away!!!
If it wasn't included then you will have to deal with it and perhaps come to some arrangements with them.
